Kanapu is supported by the team at AATEA Solutions, a kaupapa Māori organisation founded in 2000 by Hinerangi Edwards and Kiwa Hammond. AATEA was established as a vehicle to grow kaupapa Māori influence and contribution, and effect transformational change in shaping Aotearoa New Zealand’s future, while also enabling the team to live on their tūrangawaewae – raising their tamariki and staying connected to their hapori. The diverse team at AATEA is known for being visionary and strategic advisors, researchers, facilitators, translators, educators and kaupapa Māori design innovators who build authentic and strong relationships across the motu, from the paepae to the boardroom.
